METIS Aerospace Ltd is a Lincoln based company providing Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) expertise, products, and Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum monitoring capability to government agencies, military organisations, commercial integrators and private organisations.
Encapsulating all that is CEMA (Cyber and Electro-Magnetic Activities), METIS have taken the technology from their compact, modular, and scalable HYPERION RF signal detection system and developed it into their flagship SKYPERION passive RF drone detection solution. SKYPERION has become a proven capability with both commercial and military customers. It was instrumental in the re-opening of London Gatwick Airport following the 2018 drone intrusion 'crisis’ and continues to provide 24/7 cover at that location. More recently it has been chosen as the RF sensor of choice for the Royal Air Force's Synergia counter-drone research and development programme; subsequently it has become an integral part of their ORCUS counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) capability.
Alongside these products, METIS, through their in-house R&D department, have also developed considerable expertise in the field of unmanned systems development. Not only do they utilise Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and modified COTS drones for their own development work, but they provide respected partnership support to a wide range of innovative projects, programmes, and solutions.
With a range of applications across military and commercial markets, METIS capabilities integrate with existing security measures to protect armed forces, critical national infrastructure, VVIP’s, individual and institutional privacy, and public safety.
At METIS we are currently looking at recruiting into two positions: a Software Developer and a Systems Hardware Engineer. Based out of our office and workshop facility housed within the Boole Technology Centre, adjacent to the University of Lincoln, these two new positions will join our existing team to become integral in the development of our core products as well as providing input into a wide range of innovative projects, programmes, and solutions.
The Boole Technology Centre offers a sleek and modern setting as well as plenty of free onsite parking! METIS currently employ a range of staff from Ex-Military and Civilian backgrounds; you will be joining a very knowledgeable group of people who will help you expand your skill and knowledge portfolio. Moreover, with close working ties to the University of Lincoln through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, you will benefit from access to academia to support your work.
