Lindum Group

In 1956 John F. Chambers, a Civil Engineer, established Lindum Construction. Originally employing 4 people and situated in the Waterside North area of Lincoln, we completed Building and Civil Engineering work on local projects. David (John’s youngest son) is now our Chairman. Lindum has grown and now operates as a group of 12 trading divisions, with a Group turnover of £100-115million. We currently employ approximately 600 people. We have offices in Lincoln, York and Peterborough, but some divisions will work nationally, depending on the client and the project. We aim to make a reasonable profit to survive and reinvest into the company. Employees own 100% of the company through our share scheme and each year 10% of the Group’s profit is distributed equally between all employees in our profit related pay (PRP) scheme. Over the years, we have earned a good reputation for the quality of our products and services and have become one of the most successful construction companies in the East Midlands. We believe that it is our people, at all levels, who make the difference between average and exceptional performance. We pride ourselves in providing a working environment which allows people to enjoy what they do, develop their skills and fulfill their potential.  This is reflected in the consistently high ranking Lindum has achieved in The Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Companies in the UK To Work For’ list since 2004. In 2020 Lindum was ranked 36th overall.
