The governments Kickstart Scheme creates placements for 16 to 24 year olds in receipt of Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.
The placement with the employer covers all of the following and you will be eligible for;
100% of the National Minimum Wage (or National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months.
Associated employer National Insurance contributions.
Any relevant workplace pension contributions (automatic enrolment).
You will also accrue paid holiday entitlement.
Your employer will provide you with all the necessary training/support to succeed and develop in the role.
This will also include employability support for example - CV's - preparing for interviews - developing your skills in the workplace etc. this could be provided during the placement or towards its end.
Any training/support can be delivered in house or in partnership with a training organisation and your employer will monitor this and provide feedback on your development.
As a participant in the scheme you will have the opportunity to provide feedback during your placement so that your employer can continue to support you further.
